Tesla Semi is the world's first class-8 semi-truck that has reached the production stage. Due to its 3 powerful motors and a large battery pack, the Tesla Semi's acceleration far exceeds that of a combustion engine semi.

A new video of the Tesla Semi truck has recently surfaced on Twitter that shows its insane acceleration on a somewhat steep road. This video was recorded by a Tesla enthusiast in Silver Springs, Nevada.

The interesting thing about this powerful off-the-line sprint of the Tesla Semi is that it has the trailer attached. However, there is no confirmation that the trailer was loaded or not — from the looks of it, it seems loaded.

Tesla claims that the 500-mile range larger battery version Tesla Semi can go from 0-60 mph in just 20 seconds with a full load of 82k lbs gross combination weight. The electric torque instantly delivered from the motors to the wheels is the major factory in this type of performance from even a large truck.

With a Tesla signature steering wheel and dual screens in its cabin, the drivers will not feel as if they’re driving a large semi, but rather an experience of driving a high-tech sports car.

Tesla Semi production has been getting delayed for at least 2 years now. Musk first said it would start in Q4 2020 but due to the pandemic situation and supply chain issues, Tesla Semi production has been delayed to Q4 2022.

PepsiCo is Tesla's lucky corporate customer that is scheduled to get the first-production of Tesla Semi trucks starting December 2022.

The electric automaker is producing Tesla Semi at its Gigafactory in Sparks, Nevada and has also built the first Megacharger network for testing and validation at the production site.

82k could be over gross or it could mean 82 kilos which equals a little more than 37,000 pounds.How much do those batteries weigh for 500 miles and if they’re pulling mountains out west are you still going to get 500 miles?Where is the profit for the independent trucker?The way I see it I would put myself out of business because I would have to raise the rates so high that customers would be looking elsewhere. I would be pulling less freight for more money.

Most of your questions need to be answered, and they can only be answered when production trucks hit the road and are used in real-world scenarios for a considerable amount of time. 82k lbs gross weight rating is Tesla OEM spec. It's a class-8 truck 82 kilos = 180 pounds.

Florida does not have mountains like those seem in this video. I’m sure the reference is to Silver Springs, Nevada which is much closer to the location where the Tesla semi is produced.

No longer a driver due to a mini stroke but would love to see actual real results of a fully loaded pull through the New England mountains used to run fully loaded from Hartford, CT to Barkeyville, PA straight shot in 8 hours when battery-powered can beat that or the rock trucks that would pass me like i was standing still in the hills in PA. Battery power is all good flat land i wanna see in New England in the winter in the mountains fully loaded I don't too much tech into EVs but i did work with forklift batteries in a freezer warehouse left alone to long they freeze until thawed they are useless. Maybe try the class 8 on ice road truckers lol.

Also want to add ICE might not be good for the air quality but how much has all the rockets into the space race right now helped that impact. Or their jets they fly back and forth in can't tell me he drives a Tesla to all his facilities lol. But also we might be able to recycle the batteries now but they will reach a point of no return to service. Air quality may not be good but where are we going to put all these batteries at the end of their life cycle? Think of the nuclear radiative material we can't get rid of.Oh wait maybe we can ship it to Mars with the Big E man lolI think technology has gone too far too fast between Evs and robotics, when the EVs AI bots take over your careers think of how you’re going to pay for your family meals everything has a price look the twidiots he won't care when you’re homeless and hungry as long as it makes his bank increase.
