2023 Scott Joplin International Ragtime Fest Under Way

The 2023 Scott Joplin International Ragtime Music Festival is in full swing now

The 2023 Scott Joplin International Ragtime Music Festival is in full swing now in downtown Sedalia, after a Welcome Social hosted by Artistic Director Bryan Wright was held last night at the Pavilion, 2nd and Ohio.Free performances are scheduled from 9 to 5 daily at the Stark Tent, the Pavilion and the Katy Depot.

Paid concerts will be held at 2 and 7:30 daily at the Liberty Center, as well as a morning Symposia from 9 to noon. Today's Symposia features Christina Austin, Brandon Byrne and William McNally. Tickets for the daily Symposia are $15.

Tonight, the Clay Clear Band will perform at the Pavilion from 6 to 7:30.

And at 10 p.m., there will be a Ragtime Afterglow at the Pavilion.

This year's theme is Palm Leaf Rag.
